Seymour Recreation Camp is a Town Sponsored Summer Camp. Over 300 children attend this program which for 2024 will run from June 24- August 2, 8:30 am - 2:30 pm.

For the 2024 Camp Season, we are selecting a few as Counselor's in Training (CIT's) who are 9th or 10th graders, 15 years old, and not yet eligible for counselor positions.

Process:
1. Apply for the CIT camp below. The application will ask what weeks you plan to attend. Complete the on line application by the April 15th.
2. Camp runs from June 24 – August 2. All CIT's must work a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks. If you are selected, the cost will be:
Session I: $80
Session II: $100
Session III: $100
*If you attend 2 sessions it is $20 off. If you attend 3 Sessions it is $50 off. CITs are expected to be at camp every day during their selected weeks as well as attend all field trips.
3. Applicants are interviewed in Late April/Early May and positions are offered by Mid May.
4. Communication with prospective CIT's (not parents) is done by email. It is essential that the CIT provide a valid email address and check the address frequently. Our goal is to aid in the development of strong independent workers.

Once Selected as a CIT, you will be asked to make payment for the sessions you selected.

We count on CITs as a helping staff member and thus require that they make a full commitment once selected for the weeks they choose.
