Thanks to the generous support of the Katherine Matties and Valley Community Foundations, Seymour Recreation is pleased to announce Senior Fit, Senior Strong Classes for our seniors!
The program offers Senior Center Members several free exercise classes a week! Registration is required.

Chair Yoga (online until further notice - TIME CHANGE - 11:00 am- link sent to registered seniors only)
This will allow for you to get the benefit of yoga with the assistance of a chair.
Zumba Gold (online until further notice - link sent to registered seniors only )
Zumba Gold is perfect for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.
Qigong (online until further notice - link sent to registered seniors only
Qigong Looking for a new low impact exercise class? Qigong (similar to Tai Chi) is a form of gentle exercise composed of movements that are repeated a number of times, often stretching the body, increasing fluid movement and building awareness of how the body moves.
Strength, Toning, and Balance (online until further notice - link sent to registered seniors only)
This class will increase muscle strength, range of movement, balance, and coordination through a variety of exercises. Light hand weights, balls and exercise bands will be utilized. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. Suited for all levels.
