Mad Science After School Program

Give your children this unique opportunity to see and apply, hands-on and while having fun, the science theories they study in class. Science is an essential subject in your kids’ curriculum, yet it can be hard to grasp without seeing its practical applications. Mad Science programs are synchronized with CT’s curriculum and are NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) compliant.

Lab Works Children learn to manipulate laboratory equipment at their personal lab benches.(G1-5 correlation to CT curriculum: Properties of Matter, Science & Technology in Society)
The Glow Show Children probe the properties of light and explore some unusual applications of glow-in-the-dark technology!(G1-5 correlation to CT curriculum:  Properties of Matter, Energy Transfer & Transformations)
pH Phactor Children examine the pH scale and dip into the world of acids and bases using their own Reaction Tube kits.(G1-5 correlation to CT curriculum: Science & Technology in Society, Properties of Matter)
Dry Ice Capades Children experience matter in all of its three states. They melt metal in boiling water and freeze water with just a breath of dry ice! (G1-5 correlation to CT curriculum: Properties of Matter)
Junior Reactors Children explore the world of atoms using their own Atomic Coins kits. They learn to recognize chemical reactions and mix up a few reactive ingredients for some sensational results! (G1-5 correlation to CT curriculum: Properties of Matter)
Slime Time Children create slime using the Mad Science recipe and learn about slime ingredients. (G1-5 correlation to CT curriculum: Properties of Matter)
Super Sticky Stuff Stick it to the walls, and push the power of tape to the limits in this adhesive hour on things that cling! Build a bond with glue and get attached to your Professor Beakerdude kit!  (G1-5 correlation to CT curriculum: Properties of Matter, Science & Technology in Society)
Chem in a Flash Hop on board the chemistry express for a high-speed science experience! Perform instantaneous experiments in this fast-paced class on split-second reactions that go like mad! Pick up an Action Flask kit and have a blast!  (G1-5 correlation to CT curriculum: Properties of Matter)
